I waited patiently for the LORD;
he inclined to me and heard my cry.
He drew me up from the pit of destruction,
out of the miry bog,

Exhortation:
As those who have been rescued from eternal destruction, and have been granted eternal life with Christ, let us, like the Psalmist, raise our voices in song in praise to our God.
