Call to Worship from Isaiah 45

“Turn to me and be saved,
all the ends of the earth!
For I am God, and there is no other.

By myself I have sworn;
from my mouth has gone out in righteousness
a word that shall not return:
‘To me every knee shall bow,
every tongue shall swear allegiance.’

(Isaiah 45:22-23 ESV)

Exhortation:
The church is on a mission to participate in God’s work of calling people from all over the world to be saved through the work of Jesus. You are part of that mission not only as one who is to herald the call of salvation to others but as one who has heard the call and believed in Christ. We, citizens of Fort Worth, TX, here in the 21 century, represent (in part), a fulfillment of this prophecy of Isaiah. We ARE the ends of the earth from the perspective of Isaiah. We are the foreigners to the covenant and the distant generations who have turned to Christ to be saved. In Christ, we have been grafted into the covenant people of God to continue his work of calling people from the ends of the earth to be saved. Let’s celebrate God’s mission together as we sing.
