We are the body of Christ and individually members of it.
For as in one body we have many members, so we,
though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
Of God’s own will he brought us forth by the word of truth,
that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
And Christ is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.
To God be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
